Grace and peace in Jesus Christ our Lord!

Welcome to the on-line presence of the Caribbean and North American Area Council of the newly formed World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC). This has been an exciting time since the historic Uniting General Council of last summer in Grand Rapids, Michigan where the World Alliance of Reformed Churches and the Reformed Ecumenical Council united to form the WCRC.

Here in this region, with the creation of the WCRC, we welcome the Christian Reformed Church in the Dominican Republic into our Area council.

Speaking of the Dominican Republic, I want to invite you to join us for the next Area Council gathering to be held on September 24-30, 2011 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic at the Coop Marena Beach Resort. This will be a joint gathering of CANAAC together with our partner, the Caribbean and North America Council for Mission (CANACOM), as we gather with the theme, “Who is my Neighbour?” and as we join CANACOM in celebrating their 25th founding anniversary.

As we did two years ago in Guyana, we will have a Theological Institute in the Dominican Republic concurrent to the Joint Gathering, bringing together about 15 seminarians/young pastors and several adjunct pastor-theologians for sustained theological and contextual engagement with our gathering theme through worship, Bible study, classroom lectures and discussions, immersion site visits, fellowship, and reflection.

You may find the Invitation Letter (in English and Spanish versions) and Registration form for the Joint Gathering, and the Invitation Letter (in English and Spanish versions) and Registration Form to the Theological Institute, on this site by clicking at the Coming Events tab on the right-hand side of this home page.

I invite you to browse this site for resources and links, so that you may join our common mission of living into communion with our triune God and with one another for the sake of justice in the world.

Blessings, grace and peace to you,

Rev. Dr. Neal D. Presa
